It is a great place to visit even if you only have shopping on your mind as Orlando area is full of beautiful shopping malls, restaurants and shops of every type. Another great place to visit about twenty minutes drive from Orlando Airport is The Orlando Science Center, originating back to 1955; it is a huge complex with over two hundred thousand square feet of exhibition space spanning ten halls. An alternative to this would be the International Trolley and Train Museum which can be found along International Drive and has one of the country’s largest operating indoor G gauge layouts in a space of over four thousand square feet.

The Titanic ” Ship of Dreams Exhibition can also be found along International Drive; this is a moving, often eerie depiction of the great Ocean Liner with a tour guide depicting a character from the ship with many original items on display. Of course if you prefer something more relaxing then you should visit Lake Eola Park, situated in the heart of downtown; this is the city’s main attraction with 43 acres of beautiful sidewalks and a boating lake.

Of course how could anyone possibly visit Orlando without a visit to at least one theme park; and for those of you who are unsure Disney has four; not including the water parks; Universal has its own versions including Seaworld. Everyone that takes a vacation in Orlando wants to return and experience more of the attractions it has to offer.

If you are going to Orlando and plan to visit some theme parks then you want to stay near International Drive. All of the major theme parks are located along this road. I have picked my five favorite hotels in the city of Orlando and they are as follows. Number one: Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando International Drive. The location of this property is excellent. It is close to all of the theme parks and it has a shuttle to Universal and Islands of Adventure. They also offer a fantastic breakfast that you can fill up on to save money in the parks. The hotel has a exceptionally friendly staff and is remarkably clean. This is the number favorite of all Orlando hotels.

Number two: Hampton Inn Orlando – Convention Center. If I can say anything about this place it is that the staff is wonderful. They also have very clean beds. The breakfast in the morning is perfect to start off a long day of theme park visitation. The property is well maintained and very clean. You can walk to International Drive in about 2 minutes time. This is my number two selection of Orlando Hotels.

Number three: Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club at Orlando. I think this is the best hotel to go to with family. They have an excellent staff that helps entertain the kids. They also have miniature golf, a few pools and hot tubs, also table games like pool and tennis. They also offer a bar by the pool. This hotel is number three in my ranking of Orlando Hotels.

Number four: Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive. What a place for your whole family to enjoy. This hotel puts together entertainment for the kids. There is a bunch a family atmosphere as soon as you walk in, plus the property itself is beautiful. The hotel is located right by Sea World and close to Walt Disney World. There is a shuttle and trolley that will pick you up at the front gate and takes you where you want to go. I have also learned that they have excellent homemade ice cream in their recreation room. This is the number four rank out of all the Orlando Hotels.

Number five: Crowne Plaza Orlando Universal. This is another hotel with very comfortable beds. The staff is extremely friendly, and the rooms are clean with nice furniture. This property also has LCD televisions. The downside is the hotel is not within walking distance of much, and is not as kid friendly as the others. This is our number five rank of the Orlando Hotels.
